Hi there, my friends call me Cati. Glad to have you here!
I’m a recent PhD grad from Northeastern University. My research focused on microbial diversity of drinking water systems (DWS). In my most recent projects at the Pinto Lab, I’ve assessed microbial populations in DWS through genome-centric metagenomic data analyses.
Shotgun sequencing projects result in large amounts of data that have to be managed and processed with computational tools. Data analysis and visualization are a major part of my work. I love using R to translate results from statistical analyses into clear visuals (ggplot), documents (Rmarkdown) and interactive dashboards (shiny).
I created this website in R with the bogdown package! Take a look at the blog post about it π
π’ I’m currently on the job hunt and would love to connect if you have available positions in your organization that overlap my skills! π’
